Our mission is to help each other deal with our hearing loss Hearing Loss Association of Sarasota (HLAS) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to facilitating sessions where members can help each other to improve our hearing through: • Education Our monthly meetings feature expert guest speakers to keep us up to date on the latest hearing devices, treatments and other support resources in the community. • Community Service We provide group meetings, rap sessions and mentors so every member can get the support they need from other members. • Advocacy We promote hearing rights with initiatives throughout our community. • Information – Our selection of free brochures and flyers, plus our experienced members, will help you to identify many of the wonderful resources our community offers from a list of doctors and audiologists to suppliers of free phones and lip reading classes. We are the local chapter of the Hearing Loss Association of America, which is the nation’s foremost membership organization in promoting hearing loss advocacy, education and support. We invite you to join us for a monthly meeting to learn how we can help Our monthly meetings are open to the community. We encourage you to visit and to tell us your hearing issues or needs, so our members can help you to find solutions. Our monthly meetings feature expert speakers to address hearing related issues offering plenty of time for Questions and Answers to address our individual needs.
